Oxona’s specialist GPs are ready to listen to your dermatology needs
Understand your options
Oxona exists to provide professional medical treatment and management of dermatology conditions, with a personal touch. We also believe that private skincare treatment should be accessible to as many people as possible, without compromise on care or outcome. Our team of GPs have chosen to specialise in dermatology because they agree.
Facial & full body mole mapping, monitoring and removal
For patients that require mole mapping and monitoring, our team of specialist GPs are on hand to explain everything and help you understand the options available to you. Where laboratory testing is required, Oxona adheres to the two-week rule of mole checking and complete clinical notes will be shared with your own GP throughout.
The team can also talk you through treatment options for skin tags, cysts, warts and keloid scars, plus various management plans for acne, ezcema, psoriasis and rosacea.
Our Specialisms
How it works
From the moment you book your appointment to post-treatment care, we’re here to support you.
- Place booking
Book your appointment online, with no need for a referral. Payment is arranged at the point of booking, and you’ll be asked to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire. - Consultation
Your appointment will give you the time you need to discuss your problem. Our specialists will make sure you are truly heard, then answer your questions with understanding, offering impartial advice. Before moving forward, you’ll feel equipped to make an informed choice. - Treatment plan
We don’t offer ‘off-the-shelf’ packages. Instead, we build treatment plans based on you as an individual, around your conditions and medical history. We will explore all available care pathways, taking into account any anxieties and respecting your decisions. - Check in
We appreciate that discussing medical issues, and dermatology in particular can be uncomfortable for some people, and that you may feel anxious about your appointment. But as soon as you check in for your appointment, our relaxed atmosphere – with welcoming surroundings and friendly staff – will soon put you at ease.

Frequently asked questions
Can I claim for my appointment on insurance?
You need to speak to your insurer prior to your appointment. Some insurers will reimburse you for the appointment, but you will need to present any documentation at the time of your appointment for the doctor to sign. Please note that all our doctors are registered with the GMC on the GP register not the consultant register. Please ensure you make this clear to your insurers at the outset.
Why is cyst removal more expensive than mole or blemish removal?
Cyst removal can be more complex as usually they are stuck down to underlying tissue. The cyst has to be teased away very carefully to ensure the entire cyst is removed and so that you get the best possible cosmetic result.
Do you treat children under the age of 18?
Yes, we can treat under 18s at both our clinics. However, for more invasive procedures or those requiring a certain level of pain tolerance, such as verruca freezing, we would recommend only over 10s.
